A cet hommage national de reconnaissance doit s'ajouter, comme dans le cas de la gerbe, un holocauste national en signe de consécration. Les victimes sont dans ce cas particulièrement abondantes, comme il convient à un peuple qui vient de remplir ses greniers des dons de Dieu.
