Seulement, ne vous révoltez pas contre l’Eternel et n’ayez pas peur des gens de ce pays, car nous n’en ferons qu’une bouchée : leur ombre protectrice s’est éloignée d’eux ; tandis que l’Eternel est avec nous. Ne les craignez donc pas !

Une pâture : une proie aussi facile pour nous que l'herbe pour le bœuf (22.4).

Leur abri. Dieu a cessé de les abriter, de les protéger, tandis qu'il est avec les Israélites. L'heure prévue Genèse 15.16 a sonné ; leur péché est arrivé à son comble ; comparez Lévitique 18.25 ; 20.23.
