Devant le témoignage. La verge d'Aaron était conservée dans le Lieu très saint avec la cruche de manne (Exode 16.34). Mais il n'est pas dit que ce fût dans l'arche.

Enfants de rébellion. Si jamais le peuple a mérité ce nom, c'est bien en cette occasion (16.45, note).
