World English Bible Therefore I have cut them to pieces with the prophets; I killed them with the words of my mouth. Your judgments are like a flash of lightning.

C'est pourquoi... Il en était déjà ainsi de vos pères. C'est pourquoi je les ai frappés si sévèrement. Les menaces du prophète sont présentées ici comme revêtues d'une puissance qui en assure l'exécution (Jérémie 1.10 et ailleurs).

Voilà la lumière... La lumière qui se lèvera sera non pas, comme tu le crois, le salut, mais le châtiment dans lequel resplendira la justice de Dieu.
