Les pensées des justes... les desseins des méchants. Ces expressions ne sont pas synonymes : chez ceux ci tout est calculé ; chez le juste tout est simple et droit, et si ses pensées mêmes, secrètes et cachées, sont telles, à plus forte raison ses paroles et ses actions.
