Une raison saine. Voir 3.4. Quand on apprécie avec justesse la valeur des gens et des choses, et qu'on discerne la conduite qu'il faut suivre dans les cas difficiles, on obtient un bon témoignage de chacun.

Rude, comme le roc, dure. Les perfides repoussent par leur insensibilité ; ne se laissant diriger que par leur égoïsme, ils sont étrangers aux considérations d'une saine raison.
