Aura la récompense, littéralement : sera rassasié de ses voies, en sentira les terribles conséquences (1.31 ; 18.20).

Pour obtenir le sens de ses œuvres à la fin du verset, il faut modifier légèrement le texte et lire méalalav au lieu de méalav, qui ne présente un sens satisfaisant qu'à la condition de sous-entendre une idée importante : et l'homme de bien de [l'accomplissement de] ce qui lui incombe.
