Ironie. Littéralement : Cesse, mon fils, d'écouter la réprimande pour te détourner des paroles de la sagesse.

L'homme qui, tout en recevant les leçons de la sagesse, se détourne dans la pratique, de la vérité et du bien, ferait mieux de jeter le masque. L'hypocrisie est ici sévèrement censurée, ainsi que le besoin éprouvé par l'homme de se tromper soi-même. Comparez Jacques 1.22-24.

      Deutéronome 13
