Il envoya sa parole... Ici, comme dans le passage analogue Psaumes 147.18, la parole divine est représentée comme un agent tout-puissant, chargé d'exécuter les décrets de Dieu. Il y a de la part de l'Eternel un ordre donné, et cet ordre intervient dans le cours de la maladie, pour le modifier.
