Après avoir commencé par montrer les conséquences salutaires du jugement parmi les nations, le prophète finit par Juda, dont la situation sera aussi changée en tous ses détails.

Mes enfants dispersés : littéralement : la fille de mes dispersés. La multitude des dispersés est personnifiée, comme dans l'expression la fille de Sion, sous l'image d'une jeune fille ; comparez Esaïe 1.8, note.

On a traduit quelquefois : D'au-delà des fleuves de Cus, on m'apportera mes adorateurs, mes enfants dispersés, comme une offrande... en expliquant cette parole d'après celle d'Esaïe 60.4 : les nations les plus éloignées manifestant leur zèle pour l'Eternel en lui ramenant ses anciens adorateurs, les membres dispersés du peuple élu. Mais il paraît plus naturel, d'après le texte, d'appliquer l'idée d'apporter des offrandes aux dispersés eux-mêmes. Cette prophétie nous transporte au même moment que celle de saint Paul, Romains 11.25-26.
