Les habitants de la terre sont-ils identiques aux hommes d'entre les peuples, etc., de verset 9 ?

Cela est douteux, car ils peuvent se réjouir de la mort des deux témoins sans l'avoir vue s'accomplir sous leurs yeux, en en apprenant la nouvelle.

Cette expression les habitants de la terre n'embrasse pas l'humanité entière ; elle fait ressortir plutôt le caractère moral de ceux auxquels elle est appliquée. (Comparer Apocalypse 6.10)
