Les vingt-quatre anciens louent Dieu comme à la fin de la troisième vision (Apocalypse 11.16) et avant l'ouverture des sceaux. (Apocalypse 5.8)

De même que dans cette dernière circonstance, les quatre êtres vivants se joignent à eux. Mais ils ne font pas entendre un cantique spécial ; ils confirment seulement celui qui vient d'être chanté par la grande foule, en prononçant un solennel : "Amen, oui, cela est ainsi ! Alléluia !"
