La scène précédente est terminée. Pendant qu'aux enfers l'âme du malheureux est aux prises avec ses anciennes victimes, son cadavre est, sur la terre, couché parmi les vers. Cette vermine a remplacé les couvertures et les tapis magnifiques qui formaient jadis sa couche.
