Segond 21 Ce jour-là, déclare l'Eternel, le maître de l’univers, le piquet enfoncé dans un endroit solide sera enlevé, il sera cassé et tombera, et le fardeau qui était sur lui sera retiré. Oui, l'Eternel l’a décrété. »

World English Bible "In that day," says Yahweh of Armies, "the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down, and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for Yahweh has spoken it."

En ce jour-là. Ces mots nous reportent au jour de l'installation d'Eliakim (verset 20) ; il faut donc appliquer ici l'image du clou à Sebna. Eliakim occupera précisément le poste d'où est chassé Sebna ; un clou remplacera l'autre. La chute de Sebna (verset 19) est solennellement confirmée par ces derniers mots.

      5 The Jews struck all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and with slaughter and destruction, and did what they wanted to those who hated them.
      6 In the citadel of Susa, the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men.
      7 They killed Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha,
      8 Poratha, Adalia, Aridatha,
      9 Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai, and Vaizatha,
