Frayeur, fosse, filet. Ces mots offrent en hébreu une triple assonance que la traduction ne peut rendre. L'idée est celle de l'impossibilité d'échapper ; car ce que l'un des châtiments épargne, l'autre l'atteint. Jérémie 48.43-44 reproduit ces images. Comparez la même idée sous une autre forme Amos 5.19 ; 9.1-4.
