World English Bible therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden."

Comparez 28.21. L'œuvre que Dieu fera en Israël sera étrange, prodigieuse. Il livrera, sans souci apparent de sa propre gloire, ce peuple, son peuple, à des châtiments sans exemple (Deutéronome 28.58-59), et le frappera à coups répétés (comparez 28.19, note).

La sagesse de ses sages... Tous les artifices par lesquels les chefs de Juda veulent le sauver (versets 15 et 16 ; 30.1-2), seront réduits à néant.
