World English Bible There shall be brooks and streams of water on every lofty mountain and on every high hill in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.

Les montagnes de la Palestine sont en général nues et sans eau ; les vallées seules sont fertiles et boisées, Mais le pays sera alors tout entier cultivé.

Au jour de la grande tuerie : au jour du jugement des ennemis d'Israël (versets 31, 33 ; 31.8 ; comparez 34.2,6 ; Joël 3.13-14).

Les tours : emblème des puissances païennes, qui crouleront en ce jour là (25.12 ; 26.5 ; comparez le rocher d'Assur, 31.9).
