World English Bible I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.

Comme le vent dissipe les nuages et rétablit la pureté du ciel, ainsi l'Eternel fait disparaître aisément et en un clin d'œil le péché qui s'interposait entre lui et son peuple (comparez 43.25). Le salut est déjà accompli ; Israël n'a qu'à venir le chercher auprès de son Dieu. La grâce a précédé sa conversion.
