Les persécutions officielles, en particulier celles qui oppriment l'église, devraient affecter notre cœur plus que n'importe quelle autre affliction ; il est singulièrement affligeant de voir les autres souffrir. Dieu gardera ceux qui sont exposés aux assauts du mal, à cause de la pureté de leur conscience.
