Cette nuée guidait les Israélites à travers le désert. Tant qu'elle restait au dessus du tabernacle, le peuple ne bougeait pas ; quand elle se déplaçait, il la suivait. La gloire de l'Éternel remplissait le tabernacle. Dans la lumière et le feu, elle se manifestait de manière visible : Dieu est Lumière !Notre Dieu est un feu consumant. Comparez Lévitique 9.22,23 et Nombres 9.15 La Demeure une fois dressée et consacrée par l'onction, l'Eternel y vient visiblement habiter. C'est l'exaucement de la dernière intercession de Moïse (38.15-16).Jusqu'à l'érection du sanctuaire, la nuée descendait du Sinaï sur la Tente dressée par Moïse hors du camp, pour s'y rencontrer avec lui ; puis elle remontait. Dieu n'habitait plus, et pas encore, au milieu de son peuple. Israël peut maintenant reconnaître qu'il est entièrement réhabilité et qu'il possède de nouveau son Dieu au milieu de lui. Elle était un indice de la présence divine, devant être vue jour et nuit par tout le peuple d'Israël, afin que ce dernier évite de se poser cette question : « l'Éternel est Il parmi nous » ? Cette nuée guidait les Israélites à travers le désert. Tant qu'elle restait au dessus du tabernacle, le peuple ne bougeait pas ; quand elle se déplaçait, il la suivait. La gloire de l'Éternel remplissait le tabernacle. Dans la lumière et le feu, elle se manifestait de manière visible : Dieu est Lumière !Notre Dieu est un feu consumant. Cette lumière était si éblouissante et le feu si intense, que Moïse était absolument incapable d'entrer dans la tente d'assignation, tant que cette intensité ne baissait pas.Mais ce que Moïse n'a pu faire, notre Seigneur Jésus, Lui, l'a Accompli : Il nous permet en effet de nous approcher du Père ; Christ nous permet de nous approcher, avec assurance, du trône de la Grâce. Étant incités par le Saint-Esprit, à suivre l'exemple de Christ, à ne dépendre que de Lui, à suivre Ses ordonnances et à obéir à Ses préceptes, nous serons assurés de garder le bon chemin et de pouvoir éviter d'être jugés, jusqu'à ce que nous soyons parvenus aux cieux, le royaume de la Sainteté. Elle était un indice de la présence divine, devant être vue jour et nuit par tout le peuple d'Israël, afin que ce dernier évite de se poser cette question : « l'Éternel est Il parmi nous » ? Cette nuée guidait les Israélites à travers le désert. Tant qu'elle restait au dessus du tabernacle, le peuple ne bougeait pas ; quand elle se déplaçait, il la suivait. La gloire de l'Éternel remplissait le tabernacle. Dans la lumière et le feu, elle se manifestait de manière visible : Dieu est Lumière !Notre Dieu est un feu consumant. Cette lumière était si éblouissante et le feu si intense, que Moïse était absolument incapable d'entrer dans la tente d'assignation, tant que cette intensité ne baissait pas.Mais ce que Moïse n'a pu faire, notre Seigneur Jésus, Lui, l'a Accompli : Il nous permet en effet de nous approcher du Père ; Christ nous permet de nous approcher, avec assurance, du trône de la Grâce.
