La bible annotée Commentaire de Matthew Henry On comprend ordinairement ce verset dans ce sens que la fête de Pâques dure 7 jours et que dans chacun de ces jours doivent être offerts les 7 taureaux, les 7 béliers et le bouc indiqués ici. En traduisant plus littéralement, nous arrivons à un sens différent. A l'ancienne fête de Pâques, qui ne durait que 7 jours, Ezéchiel substitue une Pâque qui dure des semaines (littéralement septaines) de jours. C'est-à-dire 49 jours (ou 50, si l'on y joint le premier jour). L'expression : chacun des jours de sept jours, devient ainsi tout à fait claire ; et la quantité considérable des victimes prescrites, au lieu de porter sur chacun des sept jours d'une même semaine doit être offerte dans chacune des semaines que comprend la nouvelle Pâque. De cette manière, le jour de clôture de la fête (le cinquantième) correspond à l'ancienne Pentecôte. La loi mettait déjà la fête de Pentecôte en relation intime avec la Pâque et l'appelait par cette raison la fête des (sept) semaines (Exode 34.22 ; Deutéronome 16.9-10).Sept taureaux...
