Une mauvaise nouvelle n'attendra pas l'autre. Dans ces circonstances, on s'adressera aux trois organes ordinaires de la sagesse divine ; aux prophètes, mais ils n'auront plus de visions ; aux sacrificateurs, interprètes ordinaires de la loi, mais ils n'y trouveront plus de directions pour le cas actuel ; aux anciens formant le conseil suprême de l'Etat, mais leur sagesse sera à bout d'expédients.
