Galates 1.9

Grec : "Je vous l'ai déjà dit auparavant ;" où ? Quelques-uns répondent : ici même. (verset 8) D'autres pensent que c'était auparavant, lors de son second séjour en Galatie, où certains symptômes pouvaient lui faire prévoir ce qui arriverait.

Maintenant il répète ce jugement en présence du fait accompli. La répétition n'en a que plus de force. Il est impossible, en effet, d'exprimer d'une manière plus énergique et plus pénétrante l'absolue certitude et l'absolue autorité de l'Evangile annoncé par l'apôtre.

Pour parler comme Paul le fait ici, il faut avoir, non seulement une conviction profonde de la divinité du christianisme, mais la certitude de l'avoir reçu par une révélation personnelle, et d'avoir été élevé au-dessus de toute erreur dans l'exposition qu'on en a faite.

Un docteur infaillible peut seul tenir ce langage ; tout autre, même instruit et établi par Paul, n'aura qu'une intelligence incomplète de l'Evangile et devra admettre que tel de ses frères peut l'avoir compris et le prêcher mieux que lui. Aussi l'apôtre sent-il fort bien qu'il vient de prendre dans l'Eglise de Dieu une position telle qu'il faut la justifier ; et c'est ce qu'il fait dans les versets qui suivent.

    • Deutéronome 4

      2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you.

      Deutéronome 12

      32 Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

      Deutéronome 13

      1 If there arise in the midst of you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give you a sign or a wonder,
      2 and the sign or the wonder come to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, "Let us go after other gods" (which you have not known) "and let us serve them";
      3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams: for Yahweh your God proves you, to know whether you love Yahweh your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
      4 You shall walk after Yahweh your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you shall serve him, and cling to him.
      5 That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which Yahweh your God commanded you to walk in. So you shall put away the evil from the midst of you.
      6 If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend, who is as your own soul, entice you secretly, saying, "Let us go and serve other gods," which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;
      7 of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;
      8 you shall not consent to him, nor listen to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shall you spare, neither shall you conceal him:
      9 but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
      10 You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
      11 All Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not do any more such wickedness as this is in the midst of you.

      Proverbes 30

      6 Don't you add to his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

      Romains 16

      17 Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them.

      2 Corinthiens 1

      17 When I therefore was thus determined, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the "Yes, yes" and the "No, no?"

      2 Corinthiens 13

      1 This is the third time I am coming to you. "At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established."
      2 I have said beforehand, and I do say beforehand, as when I was present the second time, so now, being absent, I write to those who have sinned before now, and to all the rest, that, if I come again, I will not spare;

      Galates 1

      9 As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any "good news" other than that which you received, let him be cursed.

      Philippiens 3

      1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tiresome, but for you it is safe.

      Philippiens 4

      4 Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, "Rejoice!"

      Apocalypse 22

      18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book.
      19 If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.
