Il y aura ainsi un aîné d'entre les fils de Léa, et un d'entre ceux de Rachel.Ce privilège accordé à Joseph est motivé, d'un côté, par le fait qu'il est le fils de la femme préférée, et de l'autre par le fait qu'il a été le sauveur de toute la famille.
