World English Bible Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name.

Ayant le sacrifice parfait pour l'expiation et le pardon de nos péchés, n'attachons plus nos cœurs aux sacrifices symboliques, mais offrons-en de vraiment spirituels, (1Pierre 2.5) des sacrifices de louange et de fidèle confession du nom de Dieu, qui supposent le sacrifice du cœur et de la vie. (Romains 12.1, note.)

Ces sacrifices ne deviennent acceptables et ne sont agréés de Dieu que par lui, par ce Sauveur et Médiateur, en vertu de l'amour dont il nous a aimés le premier.

- L'auteur appelle ce sacrifice de louange (expression empruntée de Lévitique 7.11) le fruit des lèvres, d'après Osée 14.2. dans la version grecque des Septnte.

Enfin les mots : qui confessent son nom, sont envisagés par plusieurs interprètes comme une réminiscence du Psaumes 54.7
