Jérémie 25.23

Dédan : tribu commerçante voisine du peuple des Edomites (Ezéchiel 25.13 ; 27.15 ; comparez Esaïe 21.13). La Genèse compte un Dédan parmi les Cuschites (Genèse 10.7) et un autre parmi les fils de Kétura (Genèse 25.3).

Théma : autre tribu arabe, descendant d'Ismaël, selon Genèse 25.15 ; réunie à Dédan Esaïe 21.13 ; nommée aussi Job 6.9.

Buz : descendant de Nachor (Genèse 22.21) ; c'est de sa famille qu'était Elihu (Job 32.2). Les Buzites habitaient sans doute, avec les tribus précédentes, l'Arabie déserte.
