C’est la honte pour les sages ; ils ne savent plus où ils en sont, les voilà pris au piège. Puisqu’ils ne veulent pas de la Parole du Seigneur, leur sagesse, à quoi donc leur sert-elle ?

Les scribes étaient sans doute les lévites et sacrificateurs ; les sages sont les faux prophètes ; ils n'ont l'intelligence de rien, puisqu'ils s'appuient sur la loi tout en la travestissant.
