Nous voyons dans ce texte, Christ purifier un lépreux. Cela nous enseigne à recourir au Sauveur avec une grande humilité, dans une entière soumission à Sa volonté, disant : « Seigneur si Tu le veux », sans avoir le moindre doute, quant à la volonté de Christ, à aider l'affligé.

Remarquez ce que l'on peut attendre de Christ : Il nous sera fait selon notre foi. Le pauvre lépreux s’exclama : « si Tu le veux ». Christ accorde volontiers Ses bontés à ceux qui se soumettent avec plaisir à Sa volonté. Christ n'a rien fait pour rechercher la louange du peuple. Par contre, il n'y a aucune raison maintenant, qui nous fasse hésiter à clamer nos louanges envers Lui !

      23 Naaman said, "Be pleased to take two talents." He urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of clothing, and laid them on two of his servants; and they carried them before him.
