Matthieu 15.32

Ce qui émeut d'une tendre compassion le cœur de Jésus, c'est la vue de cette population pauvre des montagnes, si avide d'entendre sa parole, si empressée à lui amener ses malades, (verset 30) que depuis trois jours elle ne l'avait plus quitté.

Toutes les provisions sont épuisées, et comme la contrée montagneuse située sur la côte orientale du lac (verset 39) n'offrait point de ressources, et que plusieurs étaient venus de très loin, (Marc 8.3)

Jésus, plein de sollicitude pour tous leurs besoins, craint que, s'il les renvoie sans nourriture, ils ne défaillent en chemin. Il s'adresse à ses disciples pour leur faire partager ce miséricordieux intérêt et pour les employer eux-mêmes dans l'œuvre qu'il allait accomplir.

      28 Then one of the people answered, and said, "Your father directly commanded the people with an oath, saying, 'Cursed is the man who eats food this day.'" The people were faint.
      29 Then Jonathan said, "My father has troubled the land. Please look how my eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.
      30 How much more, if perhaps the people had eaten freely today of the spoil of their enemies which they found? For now has there been no great slaughter among the Philistines."
      31 They struck of the Philistines that day from Michmash to Aijalon. The people were very faint;

      11 They found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he ate; and they gave him water to drink.
      12 They gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins. when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him; for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights.

      14 Jesus went out, and he saw a great multitude. He had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
      15 When evening had come, his disciples came to him, saying, "This place is deserted, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food."
      16 But Jesus said to them, "They don't need to go away. You give them something to eat."
      17 They told him, "We only have here five loaves and two fish."
      18 He said, "Bring them here to me."
      19 He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes.
      20 They all ate, and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces.
      21 Those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

      Matthieu 15

      32 Jesus summoned his disciples and said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I don't want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way."

      Matthieu 20

      34 Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes received their sight, and they followed him.

      Matthieu 27

      63 saying, "Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: 'After three days I will rise again.'

      Marc 8

      1 In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself, and said to them,
      2 "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat.
      3 If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way."
      4 His disciples answered him, "From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?"
      5 He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven."
      6 He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude.
      7 They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.
      8 They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
      9 Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.
      10 Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the region of Dalmanutha.

      Marc 9

      22 Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us."

      Luc 7

      13 When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, "Don't cry."

      Luc 12

      29 Don't seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.
      30 For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.

      Actes 27

      33 While the day was coming on, Paul begged them all to take some food, saying, "This day is the fourteenth day that you wait and continue fasting, having taken nothing.
