Expression hébraïque qui signifie : "Si ce sang est innocent, que Dieu en fasse retomber la vengeance sur nous et sur nos enfants." compar. Matthieu 23.35 ; Lévitique 20.9 ; Deutéronome 19.10 ; 2Samuel 1.16.

Cette imprécation, qui provoquait le jugement de Dieu, s'accomplit quarante ans aprÚs d'une maniÚre terrible et fut ainsi une prophétie involontaire.
