Esdras 2.68-69 : Dons des chefs de famille (gouverneur, chefs de famille et reste du peuple) : 61000 dariques d'or, 5000 mines d'argent, 100 tuniques.

Pour concilier ces deux listes, il faut peut-être lire :

  1. dans Esdras 2.69, 41000 au lieu de 61000 dariques d'or ; on arrive ainsi aux 1000 + 20000 + 20000 indiqués par Néhémie ;
  2. dans Néhémie 7.70, 30 tuniques au lieu de 530, qui paraissent un nombre exagéré de tuniques de sacrificateurs ; avec les 67 tuniques du verset 7, on arrive alors à 97, ce qui se rapproche fort des 100 d'Esdras ;
  3. le nombre 500 retranché de Néhémie, verset 70 désignait peut-être des mines d'argent ; cela (500 + 2200 + 2000) porterait leur nombre à 4700, ce qui se rapproche sensiblement des 5000 mines d'argent indiquées par Esdras.

      8 They with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of Yahweh, under the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
      9 Then the people rejoiced, because they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to Yahweh: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.
