1 à 6 Nouvelle lune du septième mois.

Au septième mois... Outre la fête des Tabernacles, qui avait lieu du quinzième au vingt-et-unième jour de ce mois, la loi institue trois fêtes qui tombent sur le premier, le dixième et le vingt-deuxième jour de ce mois ; ces trois fêtes ont le même rituel (sacrifice d'un taureau, d'un bélier, de sept agneaux et d'un bouc). Le jour de la nouvelle lune de ce septième mois est distingué des autres jours de nouvelle lune en ce qu'il est sabbatique et solennisé par une convocation sainte. Cette ordonnance lui attribue un sacrifice moindre que celui des nouvelles lunes ordinaires : un taureau au lieu de deux (28.11). Mais il est probable que ce sacrifice moindre devait être offert en sus de celui des nouvelles lunes ordinaires. Comparez Lévitique 23.24, note.

Le septième mois était particulier : les cérémonies qui s'y déroulaient étaient très solennelles. Ce mois se trouvait entre les moissons et les semailles. Plus nous avons de loisirs ici-bas, plus nous devons passer de temps au service de Dieu. La sonnerie des trompettes était déjà une institution, Le 23:24. Dans ce texte nous trouvons les instructions relatives aux sacrifices de ce premier jour du septième mois.

Ceux qui veulent vraiment découvrir la pensée divine dans les Écritures, doivent en comparer les différents passages. La Parole nous fait découvrir la Lumière divine, tout en éclaircissant les points sombres que nous pouvons chercher à comprendre, de façon à ce que l'homme de Dieu soit accompli, 2Ti 3:16,17*.
