World English Bible "They won't return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian will be their king, because they refused to repent.

Il ne retournera pas... Comme il refuse de retourner vers moi, je lui refuserai de retourner en Egypte, ce qui serait une faveur, en comparaison de la nouvelle captivité, qu'il aura à subir (celle d'Assyrie). En Egypte, ils étaient des hôtes plus ou moins bien traités ; en Assyrie, ils seront des captifs.
