Moi, la Sagesse... Littéralement : Moi, la Sagesse, j'ai fixé ma demeure dans la vraie finesse ; c'est là mon élément. Sagesse et prudence sont inséparables. Je ne suis pas une sagesse abstraite, mais pratique. De là le grand bénéfice qu'on trouve à m'écouter.

Et je possède la science... développe la notion de la prudence : dans chaque cas particulier, je puis arriver à connaître le meilleur conseil à donner. Nous rendons ici par avis sensés le mot de mezimmoth, qui a toujours un sens favorable dans les neuf premiers chapitres de notre livre (1.4 ; 3.21 ; 5.2), et toujours un sens défavorable dans la suite (12.2, etc.).

La Sagesse, mentionnée dans ce texte, est Christ, en qui se trouvent tous les trésors de la sagesse et de la connaissance ; Elle est la Personne de Christ, la Parole, Christ dans le cœur ; Elle n’est pas seulement Christ révélé à l’homme, mais Christ révélé EN lui.

Toute la prudence et les qualités que nous pouvons avoir sont un don du Seigneur. À travers la rédemption du sang précieux de Christ, la richesse de Sa grâce abonde en toute sagesse.

L'homme a fait beaucoup d'inventions, qui ne l’ont finalement conduit qu’à la ruine ; Dieu a cependant trouvé, en Christ, un « remède » pour notre salut. Dieu rejette la fierté et l'arrogance, les mauvaises voies et le mensonge : tout ce qui rend les hommes peu disposés à entendre en toute humilité Ses saintes ordonnances, Ses appels au réveil spirituel.

La véritable piété est le meilleur soutien que puissent avoir les hommes, lorsqu’ils traversent une épreuve, elle les aide à éclaircir leur chemin. La Sagesse divine rend réellement heureux tous ceux qui la reçoivent dans l'amour de Jésus-Christ. Recherchez-La au plus vite, recherchez-La de tout votre cœur, recherchez-La en priorité.

Christ n'a jamais dit : « cherchez en vain. » Les personnes qui aiment Christ sont celles qui ont découvert Sa tendresse, et qui possèdent Son amour en leur cœur ; telle est la raison de leur bonheur spirituel ! Elle sont heureuses ici-bas, et savent qu’elles vivront la félicité éternelle dans l’au-delà.

La richesse obtenue par la vanité n’est que passagère, mais le gain qui provient de l’honnêteté est prospère ! Tout investissement placé dans les œuvres de piété et de charité sera durable. Ceux qui ne possèdent ni richesse, ni honneur en ce monde, disposeront de ce qui est infiniment meilleur, dans l’au delà : ils seront heureux, dans la Grâce de Dieu. Christ, par son Esprit, guide les croyants dans toute la Vérité et les conduit dans le chemin de la Justice : ils peuvent ainsi marcher avec l'Esprit et sont heureux de vivre pour la gloire de Dieu.

Bénéficiant des promesses de la Sagesse, les croyants disposent de bénédictions, non à titre temporaire, mais pour l'éternité ; le fruit de la Sagesse est donc bien supérieur à l'or !
