De quoi nous sommes faits. L'amour de Dieu apparaît, ici dans ce qu'il a d'absolument, gratuit. Il n'y a rien qui provoque Dieu à nous supporter patiemment, sinon notre misère : ce qu'il nous faut noter avec soin, non seulement pour dompter l'orgueil de notre cœur, mais aussi afin que notre indignité n'empêche point notre confiance (Calvin).
