Dès le matin : le plus promptement possible ; de plus, à l'idée du matin s'associe souvent celle d'un commencement nouveau et d'une lumière libératrice (Psaumes 30.6), idée à laquelle se rattache très naturellement la demande de la fin du verset. Le psalmiste, défiant de lui-même, a besoin d'être conduit et guidé dans la voie, de l'obéissance.

Cette parole rappelle celle de Psaumes 90.14 : Rassasie-nous dès le matin de ta bonté.
