Leur cœur, littéralement : leur intérieur. Comparez Marc 7.21 ; Matthieu 23.27.

Le gosier est mentionné ici comme organe de la parole (Psaumes 115.7). Qui approche les méchants devient promptement la proie de leurs paroles haineuses.

Ils flattent : une feinte douceur alterne chez eux avec l'outrage et la calomnie. Comparez Romains 3.13.
