Sur la maison d'Eli : 1Samuel 2.30-33. Abiathar avait seul échappé au massacre de la famille d'Eli (1Samuel 22.17-20). La charge de souverain sacrificateur passa dès lors à Tsadok, descendant d'Eléazar (1.7-8, notes), et resta jusqu'à la fin dans sa famille, conformément a la promesse faite par l'Eternel à Phinées (Nombres 25.10-13 ; comparez Ezéchiel 44.15).
