Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and singing women spoke of Josiah in their lamentations to this day; and they made them an ordinance in Israel: and behold, they are written in the lamentations.
Jérémie fit une complainte sur lui ; tous les chanteurs et toutes les chanteuses ont parlé de lui dans leurs complaintes jusqu'à aujourd’hui, et ils en ont fait une prescription pour Israël. Ces chants sont écrits dans les Complaintes.
Le prophète Jérémie écrit un chant de deuil sur Josias. Depuis ce temps et jusqu’à aujourd’hui, tous les chanteurs et les chanteuses parlent de ce roi dans leurs chants de deuil. C’est devenu une coutume en Israël. Leurs paroles se trouvent dans le livre des chants de deuil.

  21 For death has come up into our windows, it is entered into our palaces; to cut off the children from outside, and the young men from the streets.
