Cette parole terrible du prophète, où Dieu se révèle comme le libre dispensateur des événements de l'histoire et des fléaux de la nature, met au jour d'une manière éclatante la toute science et la puissance de celui qui charge son envoyé d'un tel message. Elle montre aussi combien réellement le ministère prophétique se sentait reposer sur une révélation divine.

Sept ans. Les Chroniques disent trois ans, ce qui correspond plus exactement aux trois jours, dans ce qui suit.
