Apocalypse 22.1

Puis il me montra le fleuve d'eau de la vie, limpide comme du cristal, qui sortait du trĂŽne de Dieu et de l'Agneau.

Description de l'état céleste, sous les images de l'eau de l'arbre de vie, avec le trÎne de Dieu et de l'Agneau. (Apocalypse 22:1-5)
L'accomplissement véritable et certain de toutes les visions prophétiques, le Saint-Esprit, l'épouse, et l'église, appellent et disent : « viens ». (Apocalypse 22:6-19)
La bénédiction finale. (Apocalypse 22:20,21)

Tous les « courants d’eaux » du rĂ©confort terrestre sont boueux ; mais ceux mentionnĂ©s dans ce texte sont limpides, et rafraĂźchissants. Ils donnent la vie Ă  ceux qui en boivent, et leur permettent de la conserver Ă©ternellement.

Ce passage souligne la vive influence sanctifiante du Saint-Esprit, accordée aux pécheurs, par le biais de Christ. Le Saint-Esprit, en harmonie avec le PÚre et le Fils, attribue le salut à notre ùme, par son Amour et sa Puissance régénératrice.

L’arbre de la vie est alimentĂ© par les eaux pures du fleuve qui provient du trĂŽne de Dieu. La prĂ©sence de Dieu dans le ciel procure la santĂ© et le bonheur aux saints. Cet arbre est une image de Christ, et de toutes les bĂ©nĂ©dictions que procure Son salut ; ces « feuilles guĂ©rissant les nations », signifient que la faveur et la prĂ©sence du Seigneur procurent le bien aux habitants de ce monde bĂ©ni.

Le diable ne dispose d’aucun pouvoir en cet endroit cĂ©leste ; il ne peut pas empĂȘcher les saints de servir Dieu, et il ne peut pas les perturber dans leur service auprĂšs du PĂšre. Dieu et l'Agneau sont ici dĂ©crits comme formant une unitĂ©. Le service divin accompli en cet endroit ne sera pas uniquement le symbole de la libertĂ©, mais aussi de l'honneur et de l'autoritĂ©.

Il n'y aura plus de nuit, ni de dĂ©tresse, ni de dĂ©couragement ; aucune pause n’interrompra le service divin, pour procurer de la dĂ©tente : aucune diversion ni plaisir inventĂ©s par l'homme ne seront alors nĂ©cessaires !

Quelle diffĂ©rence avec toutes ces reprĂ©sentations humaines, simplistes et grossiĂšres, du bonheur cĂ©leste, en particulier celles qui se rapportent aux plaisirs de l’esprit terrestre !

Chapitre 22.

Il me montra : C'est toujours l'ange de Apocalypse 21.9,10.

Conformément à la prophétie d'Ezéchiel (Ezéchiel 47.1-12 ; comparez Joël 3.18 ; Zacharie 14.8 ; GenÚse 2.10), Jean voit un fleuve d'eau de la vie (Apocalypse 7.17 ; 21.6) qui sortait du trÎne de Dieu et de l'Agneau.

Ce nouveau symbole figure le don de la vie Ă©ternelle, qui est la consĂ©quence de la prĂ©sence de Dieu au milieu des hommes et de leur communion parfaite avec lui. Le fleuve sort du trĂŽne de Dieu, qui a destinĂ© cette vie aux rachetĂ©s, et de l'Agneau, qui la leur a procurĂ©e par son Ɠuvre mĂ©diatrice.
