Oui, mais seulement pour les nouveaux péchés. Oui, parce que je me sens toujours coupable, même pour d'anciens péchés. Non, parce que la grâce couvre mes péchés présents, passés et futurs.

Ce n'est qu'à force de travaux et de combats que Paul pouvait atteindre le but indiqué. (verset 28) Quel argument pour exciter la confiance et le zèle de ses lecteurs ! Voir aussi Colossiens 2.1.

Mais toutes les fois que l'apôtre parle de lui-même et de son œuvre, il se montre saintement jaloux d'attribuer toute sa puissance à Christ à qui il en rend gloire. (verset 28) De plus, l'Eglise de Colosses, en danger d'être séduite par de faux docteurs, devait comprendre que cette puissance divine qui agissait en saint Paul était un sceau de Dieu, apposé à son apostolat. (Comparer Ephésiens 3.20)
