World English Bible For you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not remembered the rock of your strength. Therefore you plant pleasant plants, and set out foreign seedlings.

Le rocher de ta force : le Dieu qui est ton refuge, ta forteresse. L'image est empruntée au cantique de Moïse (Deutéronome 32.4,15,18 ; comparez Esaïe 26.4 ; 30.29 ; Psaumes 18.3).

Des plantations agréables, des ceps étrangers : emblème des mœurs et des cultes païens adoptés par les Israélites (comparez 2.6, note). L'image est d'autant plus naturelle que c'était dans des bocages sacrés que l'on célébrait les fêtes idolâtres.
