Le blé du Nil. Le blé de l'Egypte est appelé ainsi parce que ce pays devait au Nil son extrême fertilité (Genèse 41.57 ; 42.4 et suivants). L'Egypte était le grenier du monde ancien, les Phéniciens soutinrent avec elle, dès les temps les plus reculés, des relations de commerce très étroites.
