Esaïe 35.7

La terre brûlante deviendra un étang et la terre aride se changera en sources d'eau. Dans le repaire qui servait de gîte aux chacals pousseront des roseaux et des joncs.
Le mirage se changera en étang Et la terre de la soif en fontaines d’eaux ; Dans le repaire où se couchaient les chacals, Il y aura un emplacement pour les roseaux et les joncs.

World English Bible The burning sand will become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water. Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.

La bible annotée Commentaire de Matthew Henry

Le mirage : phénomène bien connu dans les pays chauds, qui résulte de la dilatation inégale des couches d'air qui sont en contact immédiat avec la surface brûlante du désert. Les rayons du soleil sont réfractés de manière à produire sur le voyageur l'impression d'une nappe d'eau qui fuit incessamment à mesure qu'il veut s'en rapprocher. Le mirage est transformé cette fois en un vrai lac. Cela signifie qu'aux espérances décevantes succédera maintenant l'accomplissement parfait de tout ce que les élus ont attendu.

Le repaire... devient un parc... Mêmes expressions que 34.13 : les lieux désolés sont abondamment pourvus d'eau et se couvrent d'une riche végétation.
