World English Bible Oh that you had listened to my commandments! then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea:

Oh ! Que... Dans ce soupir s'exprime toute la tendresse de l'Eternel pour son peuple.

La paix et la justice réunies, comme 32.17 ; Psaumes 85.11. La justice n'est pas un mérite du peuple, mais le fruit de la grâce divine transformant l'Israël rebelle en un peuple fidèle (45.8).
