Nous trouvons dans ce texte le début de la merveilleuse description fidèle et détaillée, du ministère, du caractère, et de la Gloire du Messie, dans le but de chercher à convaincre les incrédules les plus endurcis.

Christ est la Sagesse en personne ; dans l'œuvre de notre rédemption, cette Sagesse divine est apparue comme un mystère : Ceux qui virent Jésus, durent vraisemblablement lui trouver Une bien « piètre envergure » ; personne, avant Lui, n'avait jamais supporté de telles douleurs. Mais Dieu l'a souverainement élevé.

Tous ces faits ont été décrits de manière parfaite dans les évangiles. Malgré le fait que Christ ait versé Son sang pour les pécheurs, Il n'est pas mort, Sa Puissance est toujours opérante !

Que tous Ses adversaires puissent discerner cette Sagesse et cesser toute opposition à Son égard, pour bénéficier de « l'aspersion » du sang salutaire de Jésus, et du baptême du Saint-Esprit !

Obéissons à Christ, et louons-Le pour Son salut !
