Scelle la loi dans mes disciples. Esaïe apparaît ici entouré, d'un cercle de fidèles, qui sont non pas tant ses disciples que ceux de Jéhova. Il doit déposer et sceller en eux, c'est-à-dire dans leurs cœurs, l'enseignement divin (Jérémie 31.33-34). Cet enseignement est la révélation même qui vient d'être donnée, versets 11 à 15. Nous constatons ici le fait important de la formation d'un groupe fidèle se séparant de la masse incrédule, dont Dieu détourne sa face (verset 17). C'en eût été fait d'Israël, s'il n'avait pas existé, dans son sein, une communauté invisible de croyants, qui gardaient dans leur cœur la parole de Dieu méprisée par la foule.
