Exode 24.12

Et l'Éternel dit à Moïse : Monte vers moi sur la montagne, et sois là ; et je te donnerai les tables de pierre, et la loi et le commandement que j'ai écrits pour les instruire.
Une nuée couvrit la montagne pendant six jours ; c'était un témoignage spécifique de la présence divine, en ce lieu. Moïse avait l'assurance qu'il serait protégé par Celui qui l'avait appelé en cet endroit. Les attributs glorieux de notre Dieu ont un retentissement terrible auprès des impies ; par contre les saints, face à ces attributs et en toute humilité, ne peuvent que se réjouir.

Ainsi, par notre foi envers le Sacrifice expiatoire de Jésus, nous avons, dans cette espérance, un plus grand honneur que Moïse ne pouvait avoir à l'époque. Maintenant, nous voyons comme au travers d'un verre dépoli, mais quand Dieu paraîtra, nous Le verrons alors face à face.

Cette vision de Dieu ne pourrait être que monotone si elle n'était pas agrémentée de la joie céleste ; cette perspective ne sera pas limitée dans le temps, elle sera éternelle !

      Exode 24

      2 Moses alone shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near, neither shall the people go up with him."
      12 Yahweh said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the tables of stone with the law and the commands that I have written, that you may teach them."
      15 Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
      18 Moses entered into the midst of the cloud, and went up on the mountain; and Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

      Exode 31

      18 He gave to Moses, when he finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets, written with God's finger.

      Exode 32

      15 Moses turned, and went down from the mountain, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand; tablets that were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.
      16 The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tables.
