Ils te feront descendre dans la tombe, tu mourras de mort violente en pleine mer.

La mort est ici le symbole de l'abaissement et de la destruction. Le prophète parle, non d'un individu, mais du roi de Tyr, dans le sens abstrait. Il ne faut donc pas chercher ici l'annonce du genre de mort d'Ithobal, qui régnait alors.
